But nothing happened, until one day two strange beings appeared. They were called tourists and supposedly belonged to a tribe that was spread throughout the whole world; at least they reported that there were tourists all over the world, also in Acapulco. "Where is that?" Joe asked, feeling his heart beating. "In Mexico, of course," the tourists answered pertly.
They were widely traveled tourists, you must know, and furthermore, distant relatives of the Snobs. The Bavarian Joe was too shy to ask whether they might be perhaps fairies as well, and so he just sneaked all the time around them, full of curiosity. Tourists don't mind that, because they think that even the weirdest behavior represents just local customs about which they later talk at home fussily. Unfortunately they soon left again. Nothing had happened, no fairy had appeared, simply nothing. |
